Island’s End under the management of Bill Fish will be running the restaurant again this year. Jennifer will manage the front of the house and the bar with more help. Eric, our chef, will run the kitchen again also with help. This year from Memorial Day to Labor Day the restaurant will be open 7 days a week, however the kitchen will continue to be closed on Monday’s. Please join me and the board welcoming Jennifer and Eric back.
Sad news to report that long time member Ira Mothner has passed away. All who knew Ira, knew he was a gentleman and an avid golfer. He will be sorely missed.
This year’s board election will be in person. The Annual Meeting will resume as long as the COVID numbers stay low. The meeting will be held, Saturday, May 21 at 2:00 pm in the upstairs clubhouse followed by a cocktail reception. There are (3) board seats open: Mark Schrader, John Shack and me, all who have served the 2-term limit and cannot run this year. We are now accepting candidates for the board election. Please announce your intentions in a written letter and/or email to: billfish4@optonline.net no later than Friday, April 22nd.
Island’s End under the management of our General Manager, Bill Fish, runs smoothly and efficiently. Our renovation project is now complete. We did make changes to the restaurant to reduce the noise level. Bill and his staff keep the club running seamlessly. The golf course continues to be beautifully maintained by Shamus O’Connor and his crew. Thank you everyone for supporting our club!
In closing, we would like to thank our members and in particular our shareholders for their support. We look forward to seeing you on the course with the warmer weather!
